Description

You'll love the PRIVATE Pool & Short Distance to the Beach at our Gulf Shores Vacation Rental beach duplex When Pigs Fly!! We are lucky to have our own pool, just for our duplex, looking south toward the Gulf. We are only 2 houses from the Gulf, about 200 yards back from the beach.

When Pigs Fly is a stacked duplex, one floor over the other with the same basic floor plan except that the upstairs has stairs to the Rooftop Crow's Nest with Panoramic Views of the Beach & Little Lagoon. Each half has 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths and sleeps 2-8. The is the Downstairs unit. In January/February only we will allow pets with a pet fee.

Each half has:
*Spacious Living Area with French doors to a Wide Beachview Covered Porch
*Large Fully-Equipped Kitchen
*Spacious King Master Bedroom w/TV, Private Bath & French doors to a Beachview Porch
*2 Queen Bedrooms
*Queen sleeper sofa upstairs, 2 twin air mattresses available upon request downstairs.
*Full-Size Laundry Room
*Smaller Lagoon-View Porch
*Free WIFI

The Upper Unit has a Jetted Tub in the Master Bath, a separate prep sink and Undercounter Ice Maker in the kitchen island and Stairs to a Rooftop Crow's Nest. There are Covered Porches on each floor for Enjoying the Wonderful Views, Gulf Breezes and Sound of the Surf. You'll have Covered Parking for up to 2 cars plus additional parking.

The Downstairs has a large kitchen with an island and breakfast bar in addition to the nearby Dining Table with Chairs.

Outside, around the Private Pool, there is also a Poolside Table & Chairs, Lounge Chairs, Charcoal Grill & a shaded Picnic Table under the house. You are welcome to use our assortment of Beach Chairs, Beach Carts & Pool Toys during your stay at When Pigs Fly.

Our duplex is conveniently located in the Family-Friendly West Beach area of Gulf Shores, 2.3 miles west of Hwy 59. This section of West Beach has no condos, no crowds, just 4 rows of houses between the Gulf on the South & Little Lagoon on the North and Beautiful White Sand Beaches. It is Close to Restaurants, Shopping including a Major Outlet Center, Attractions, and just a block to a Good Fishing spot.

Very nice always very clean when we check in. The house is very well supplied. The owners are great any problems are quickly resolved. The house is convenient to the beach only a 5 minute walk. We really enjoy our stay in the house and Golf Shores.

We had a wonderful time here...the owners were incredibly helpful and friendly. The property was great - the pool was awesome to have on site! They have all the beach and pool gear you need (chairs, cart, toys), so just bring your bathing suits & towels! Had an awesome time, very comfortable here!

We rented the upstairs and downstairs of When Pigs Fly and everything was exactly as described. The location was within walking distance to the beach and easy driving to the main areas of town. The property was very clean and very well maintained. The maintenance personnel were there every morning cleaning the pool and checking on things. We had a very small issue with the upstairs toilet leaking and maintenance was there within minutes to fix it and the owners responded to the message sent about the issue in minutes. We would certainly recommend this property to friends, families, and strangers alike! We really enjoyed having the pool for days that we just wanted to relax at the house. The crows nest was also a great addition! We enjoyed seeing the area from above. All of the beds were very comfortable, especially the upstairs master bedroom bed! If you're looking for a great place to stay, you found it!

We had a great trip, it was perfect for our group. Everything was just as expected and the owners were very helpful in suggesting restaurants/places to shop. Highly recommend, perfect home for families. Our almost 3 year old was thrilled with all the beach/pool toys and the adults loved all the beach chairs, what nice extras!

Very nice with modern updates. Kitchen was recently remodeled with granite contertop and stainless appliances. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you need for cooking. This place was very clean when we arrived. It has a great location just a block off the beach and very quite. We loved our 6 week stay here.

A wonderful house for many family members. Even my 84 year old Mother in law did not mind the stairs after the first day. The weather did not cooperate or we would have used the pool! The only thing that I can say against the property is that there were not enough towels for 2 3 bedroom units. If you are able, bring your own. We could not as we flew in. But will consider this property or another property that the owners have in the future when we are having a family reunion. Everything else you can think of to cook with as well to feed large groups! Also, the owner was very helpful when we left a treasured Christmas present behind! Thank you Susan!

Our family rented both levels in When Pigs Fly last week. There ware 12 of us and we had a wonderful time. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, plates etc. The laundry was nice to have available to use.
