There are lots of holiday events in our area!

July 2nd - EVENTS AROUND THE AREA

FLORA-BAMA 4TH OF JULY WEEKEND FREEDOM 4 MILE WALK/RUN & 1 MILE FUN RUN, Recommend picking up registration packet on July 1 to avoid line (and before they run out of your preferred size of t-shirt). Free to watch, $25 fee to participate includes 1 food ticket and 2 drink tickets.

FLORA-BAMA BBQ, Miss Firecracker Contest, Live Music and Fireworks. Events proceed throughout the day.

FIREWORKS SHOW at OWA @ 8:50 pm, FREE, Come early to save your seat

PERDIDO BEACH RESORT - Limited tickets available for festivities starting with live music and a buffet at 6, fireworks at 9 and dancing and music until 11. You'll be able to see the fireworks nearby at the Gulf State Park-Florida Point on the east side of the Perdido Pass bridge.

July 4th - EVENTS AROUND THE AREA

CITY OF GULF SHORES FIREWORKS @ 9 PM. FREE. Fireworks are shot from the Gulf State Park Pier so the Gulf State Park and the East side of the Gulf Shores Public Beach are ideal viewing spots.

THE WHARF @ 5 - 9 pm. Admission and parking are FREE

Kids Activities start at 5 including a bubble zone, bounce houses, surf simulator, face painting ($10), camel rides ($5), rock wall, battle zone, DJ Silky spinning dancing tunes, special appearances by Lady Liberty, Uncle Sam + more. This year's celebration is culminates in fireworks at 8:45 which is followed by the SPECTRA Laser Light Experience at 9 pm.

You can also go any Summer Monday night to see The Wharf's Sparks After Dark fireworks show at 8:45 pm in addition to their nightly Spectra Laser Light Show which takes place at 8:30, 9:00 and 9:30.

PLEASE NOTE: Fireworks are not allowed in Gulf Shores without a special permit. We have been having drought conditions. Our sea oats and marshes are federally protected and home to several endangered species. Please be careful with our precious habitat.
