07/03/2020 to 07/06/2020
July 4th & Independence Day 2020 festivities are a little different this year. We have fewer large fireworks shows but still a number of smaller events where it is possible to be a bit more spread out. Gulf Shores will not be having its traditional fireworks show but there are a number of other opportunities for you.
Given the ever-changing situation, we recommend you check the Facebook pages of these locations for the most current plans before you go.
July 4th - The Wharf @ 8:45 pm - A big fireworks show with identified locations for social distancing. If you are planning to enjoy dinner first, we definitely recommend making reservations. Not up for the Saturday night plan? You can also go any Summer Monday night to see The Wharf's Sparks After Dark fireworks show in addition to their Spectra Light Show which takes place each night at 8:30, 9:00 and 9:30.
July 4th - OWA in Foley has cancelled fireworks to avoid crowds gathering but still has some Independence Day festivities on Saturday. You can get your photo taken with Uncle Sam, enjoy a range of kid's activities and listen to live music.
As of now, there are also July 4th fireworks planned at 9 pm at Turquoise Place, The Beach Club and Kiva Dunes.
PLEASE NOTE: Fireworks are not allowed in Gulf Shores without a special permit. We have been having drought conditions. Our sea oats and marshes are federally protected and home to several endangered species. Please be careful with our precious habitat.
