Description

Southern Breeze offers 5 bedrooms, 3 baths, and accommodates up to 16 guests, including children (maximum 12 adults). Guests often remark that the home is more spacious than it appears (around 2,300 sq ft with roomy interiors), looks even better in person than in pictures, and provides the best of both worlds with access to both the Gulf Beach and Little Lagoon.

Located in West Beach at Lagoon Pass, Southern Breeze offers convenient Gulf beach access and a pier on Little Lagoon, ideal for fishing or docking small boats and jet skis. Nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac, the home provides stunning sunset views and a peaceful atmosphere.

The beach access is located at Lagoon Pass Park, just a 5-minute walk from the home. This park is perfect for enjoying the beach, with public parking available for $15 per day, restrooms, and outdoor showers on the north side. The public beach is just across the road.

The main floor includes a primary bedroom with a king bed, a twin daybed with a trundle, and a second queen bedroom, along with 2 full baths. The open living and dining area flows into the kitchen, and a large lagoon-front porch with outdoor seating, dining, and a swing offers a relaxing space to enjoy the view. A laundry area with a front-load washer and dryer is also on this level.

Upstairs, you'll find 3 additional bedrooms (one with a queen bed, another with two queen beds, and a third with a double bed), a full bath, and a family room with a queen sleeper sofa. This level also features a lagoon-front deck.

Outdoor amenities include a shaded area under the house with a picnic table, charcoal grill, and seating. Guests are welcome to use the beach chairs, carts, and crab traps stored on the property. The shared pier and neighborhood boat launch provide easy access to Little Lagoon.

With its spacious layout, Southern Breeze is ideal for two families or those wanting extra space for the kids. The house offers WiFi and TVs in the living room, both main-floor bedrooms, and the upstairs family room.

The house is pet-friendly, allowing up to 2 dogs. There is an additional pet fee of $348.

Located just 3 miles from Highway 59, this section of West Beach is quiet and less crowded, while still being close to local attractions. Enjoy fishing or crabbing from the backyard or nearby Lagoon Pass, where the Gulf meets Little Lagoon, a 9-mile saltwater lagoon teeming with wildlife.

This property is not available for rental to groups under the age of 25 or for bachelor or bachelorette parties. For the Hangout Music Festival, a $1000 refundable damage/cleaning deposit is required to ensure the property is maintained as expected.

The house was very nice, plenty of space for everyone. The beach was just a short walk. One thing that was disappointing was the Neiborhood didn't have a swimming pool, and our kids really missed that.

When renting in Gulf Shores, our top considerations are: Is it pet-friendly? Located west of bridge? Are there bedrooms enough for occasional guests? SOUTHERN BREEZE covered all the bases PLUS being on the lagoon and only across the road from the beach, gave multiple options for fishing, best of both worlds. Our dogs loved to run down the pier, and back for exercise! We found the home clean, a pleasant neutral color theme, the area quiet and the few issues we had were immediately addressed by friendly and competent staff. We currently plan to return next year ourselves and would readily recommend SOUTHERN BREEZE to anyone considering a visit to the area!

We had nothing but great things to say out our stay at Southern Breeze! Plenty of space for our group of 14. Very convenient beach access and 5 minutes from shopping and activities. The lagoon was a tremendous bonus. My nephew caught a huge fish and the entire area was talking about it and came to chat. Very friendly area. The house itself was beautiful and beach decor added to our experience of staying in Gulf Shores. We plan to come back in the future!! ♥️ loved our stay!

We have been going to this home for over 10 years now. There are so many rentals in the area, but with the location, friendly contact from the rental company and comfort of this home we will never stay anywhere else when visiting Gulf Shores. The home has so much room, up to date furnshings and beautiful porches to enjoy some rest and relaxation. Don’t think twice when considering this property or another one offered from gulf shore vacation rentals, you’ll love it and the people are the best at communicating and making your stay is worry free!

Our group of 12 had a good time in Gulf Shores. We love the area of this home and the house fit our needs. Plenty of room and we liked having the back porch.The ocean was double red flags most of the days we were there so it ended up being on the lagoon/bay was a good thing for us. We expected the beach access to be a little closer per the description but it was ok. My mother just wasn’t able to make the walk so consider that if you have older people with you or small children. Overall this was a good spot and the rental agency was good to work with and quick to respond to questions.

The location is really great. This year we did have some loud spring breakers on the court but it is college break time. Family had a nice time even with not the best weather. Couches and chairs are at end of life. Getting very soft. Bummed the rent needed to jump up so much compared to our first stay in 2021 is really shocking but everything has gone up in price. We really hope to go back, it's a great place.

We had a wonderful relaxing week with family at the southern breeze! The highlight of the trip was being able to swim and fish right outside the back door! The beach was a short walk away and the beach chairs and sand toys that were at the house were wonderful to be able to use! The house was well stocked and had everything we needed! The only suggestions we would add is to have a light at the dock to be able to fish past dark and reflector lights on stairs of the back door -it was hard to see walking to the table and chairs from the top deck! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and hope to stay again in the future! We loved the quiet neighborhood and being able to experience the Lagoon and the beach with our kids!

This was our 3rd year to stay at Southern Breeze because we love the location. We noticed several updates and repairs this year including a new deck on the back and a nice new sliding door out to the deck. The house is spacious and has a well stocked kitchen.
I would recommend bringing extra trash bags because we always run out before the week is over.

Having house right off the lagoon and short walk to the gulf was perfect for our family of 12. The house was stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed crab hunting, fishing, swimming, and paddle boarding right from the dock.

We rented Summer Breeze for a family getaway over the Easter weekend. The house was very clean, well-appointed, and comfortable. The hosts have taken their guests potential needs in mind and filled the house with books, games, extra blankets, cookware, dishes, etc. We didn’t have the greatest weather, so we spent a lot of time indoors. Everyone was quite satisfied with that.
The sofas downstairs need to be cleaned and the drawer to the garbage needs a little attention, but other than that, the house is perfect! We all decided we want to rent this house again.

Our two month stay at Southern Breeze was really enjoyable. The pelicans were very entertaining, too. There were a few minor issues but GSVR was on top of everything. We have rented through them before so we knew they would provide immediate response. Stay at any of their properties and you wont regret it.

My husband has always wanted to go deep sea fishing with his 3 sons and he turned 76 years young this year, so I planned a surprise trip for him and all the family to Gulf Shores for his Birthday and his wish. I booked the Southern Breeze vacation house and it was so beautiful and it was everything anyone would want for a vacation home.The whole family had the best vacation. The grandkids could not stop talking about what a great time they had. We fished off the dock and the only problem we had was a small one and Tracy is remarkable.She was right on it. I love this place and we will be sure to stay there again, it was a paradise for us. I highly recommend this vacation house 100%.

The house was in good shape and had everything we needed. The extra ice maker and the mini fridge was very continent. The walk to the beach was not far. The lagoon beach area behind the house had a very large circle of rocks that all our kids cut their feet on. Not sure of the purpose of those rocks there as the neighbors house did not have any. Great stay and the house was wonderful. The house had hand soaps, dish soap and dishwasher soap. Also had some paper towels and toilet paper which was nice. Thank you

Six of us rented this house for a second year to use for our annual golfing trip. Once again, it checked off all our needs: clean, roomy and stocked with plenty of towels and paper products. We didn't walk on the shared pier this time, but did see other people use it (with jet skis). Easy walk to the beach, and several restaurants to pick from in the area. Only trouble we had was with the TV (which the rental company corrected right away). No problem with the WiFi, and the rear view is very nice. We will be renting this house again next year definitely.

We have a big family! We filled the house up but this home is designed so that we all could spread out. It never feels like we are on top of each other. We stayed last year and booked again for 2022 on our way back to Tennessee. The kitchen is very nice with what we needed and the ice maker was a huge plus . I made 48 cinnamon rolls this week! We caught a lot of fish from the pier. Bring a light if you plan on fishing after dark or before sunrise. There is no light. The deck needs some TLC. It is showing age and needs a few things taken care of. We had a hammer with us and had to hammer a lot of nails that had worked up. We had some of the kids step in them. The beds slept good and the furniture is comfortable. I spoke with Tracy the manager of the home on a couple of different things and everything was good. There was plenty of towels and bed linens for us. We used the washer and dryer a lot! The beach toys, chairs and wagon were very much appreciated. The walk to the beach is very easy! We tried to leave it as good as we found it (minus the bed sheets). We have to find another place for next year. Makes me sad, but we have outgrown this one.

Very nice property at a nice location. Just off the main drag so you don't hear the traffic. Great views of the lagoon. Easy walk to beach and also walking trail across the bridge. One of the best stays we ever had down there.

The house is very nice on the inside. We liked the layout of the open kitchen, dining, and living room area. The back deck was a haven during the sunset hour. The view was spectacular! We left the door open in the mornings to enjoy the cool breeze. We spent relaxing times on the pier, looking out at the bay and fishing. The beach was a short walk away and the weather was gorgeous. Only a couple of minor complaints about the lodgings - the street light came in the window of the front bedroom and kept us from sleeping well, the sheets are low quality and scratchy, and the lights hanging down over the kitchen island were caked in dust. Otherwise, the house was very clean and fresh. We already booked our next stay here!

We stayed at Seabreeze with my family who is spread out through the country and we had an unforgettable experience. The house is perfectly situated between the gulf and a peaceful lagoon. We had a party of 14, plenty of room for all. the guys fished off the pier, just small croakers, catch and release. We did bring crab traps, and did catch crabs, enough to eat. The girls went to beach, shopping, had a great time beach was right ascross the road. everything was in good shape, there was a little black runs on the wall up high in bathroom upstairs where maybe the ceiling had leaked? The bathroom vent in there needs to be changed out, really bad rusted. Everything else was kept up. they need more t.v., one in everyroom, the one in family room upstairs need to come down stairs so you can key into your net flick account, and the children can watch tv, where adults can watch the children, the t.v. in the master room is a joke, smaller then my pc screen way ascross the room. The only problem we had was noise level, maybe not insulated well, not a place to go to rest if you have children. Besides this we had a great time location was great, the people that was renting the house next door let our children play in their sand next to water.

My family had an awesome time even though we missed the first night due to Hurricane Nate. Geoff and Susan were on top of everything and were very prompt in alerting us to weather conditions and when it was safe to come to the house. The weather was excellent for the rest of the week and many happy memories were made on the beach. You will LOVE this house, big enough for two families, room to separate adults and kids if you want that. I strongly recommend this property and Gulf Shores Vacation Rentals. This one will stay on our future travel destinations. Thanks again to Geoff, Susan, and their staff!!

We had a really nice stay. There are plenty of areas to gather, both inside and out. The grandkids had a great time - lots of nearby attractions. We had trouble with a breaker tripping and it was fixed right away. I would definitely go back.

This house was awesome. Overall - our stay was great. We did have a plumbing leak that we reported - during our stay - but the response from the owner was right away and the problem was fixed quickly. The kitchen cooking utensils and equipment needs some updates; but not everyone cooks while on vacation like I do. There was no spatula for mixing / spreading and the electric hand mixer did not work. Also - you cannot sit under the house in the rain - because all the rain leaks thru to the lower area from the above wall is deck. Also - There are loose boards on the deck that might need replacing or tightening; as they flipped up when you walked on them. Also - all the houses across the street were using our pier also - so it was quite crowded often.
But the house was clean and very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.

Please let us know if you find something that doesn't work. We are happy to bring a replacement and usually hear that our kitchens are very well stocked. Parts of the deck are covered in rain, others are not. The pier is shared by the houses on the cul de sac and usually gets very little use other than our guests so we are kind of glad to hear that people were out using it!

From the moment we booked the house until the morning we drove away from it, we had a wonderful experience! The home was lovely and clean. There was plenty of room to accommodate all of us (16 total)! The fishing pier in back on the lagoon was perfect for fishing and kayaking! The beach was a short walk from the house and we were able to go every day. The wonderful homeowners even left beach and sand equipment in the storage room under the house and told us we were free to use it! I cannot imagine how we could have been better satisfied. We loved it!

This house was VERY nice. It was super clean & perfect for families with wave runners or a small boat. You have access to a calm bay/lagoon and you are only 100 yards from an inlet that takes you into the gulf of mexico. It is shallow but you can easily get wave runners & small boats out into the ocean.

The location was amazing! When the ocean was to rough we headed to the bay and fished off the dock. The pelicans and gray herrings loved taking our small fish right from the deck. Less than a block to the ocean and the bay too. Our Children all loved the house and the setting. Thank you for opening your home to us.

We had a wonderful sister's weekend here with spouses. We loved the back deck that opened up to the lagoon with shared fishing pier. The house was beautiful, clean and very comfortable. We had assess to the beach across the street. Convenient location. The property was clean and well-maintained. The owner/manager reached out to us via text if we needed anything, which we did have to use because our lock key wasn't working and they came out right away and fixed that. We would definitely recommend this beautiful place and stay there again.

The rental came equipped with everything we needed. It was a perfect amount of space for 13 people and multiple families. It’s the best of both worlds with access to the beach and to fishing from the dock. The only complaint that I had for the whole week was the lack of light on the dock. Everything else was perfect!

We enjoyed our stay at Southern Breeze. Location is great. We had 13 family members ranging from 1 to 64. Tried to find a location to please everyone. The bay was right outside our back balcony. We could fish on the pier, kayak and swim in the bay. Beautiful sunsets enjoyed every evening. The beach was just a short easy walk. You do need to cross a road but this was not a problem. For the most part we were very happy with location and house. Housekeeping needs to step up. They basically do surface cleaning. Furniture in the living room was stained and should be cleaned. Management was great. Had a few minor issues that were corrected quickly. Overall it was a great vacation.

The house was nice, but not very clean, gritty floors, and the microwave was disgusting. The livingroom furniture was stained,could use updating,and very uncomfortable. We loved being on the lagoon though. Beautiful views and sunsets. The back decks were our favorite spots. We had quite a long walk to the beach access. It turned out to be a public beach access and we had to walk through lots of lose sand, which is hard when you are senior citizens with bad knees. As much as we paid for the rent and fees, we were expecting a short walk (as per the description) and a nice cross walk over the dunes. You live and learn.

Our group of six guys were there for 3 nights for a 2 day golf trip. The rental company contacted us a week out to make sure we had everything we needed prior to arrival. The house was very clean, the Kitchen appears to have been recently updated with granite countertops and new appliances, the shared dock was recently rebuilt, and there were plenty of towels. The view off the back porch of the water was fantastic (photos don't do it justice) and you have a clear view of the sunsets. Location was off the beaten path (ie away from the downtown high rises and restaurants) but only a two minute drive away. The beach across the street was very impressive....white soft sand and clear water. We usually try to visit different places to play golf in Alabama and Florida, but the guys were unanimous in wanting to come back to this same house again soon to play different courses. When you have six guys all agreeing that they liked the house that much that is saying something. We didn't cook anything as we ate out every day, but the house does have an extra refrigerator AND a separate ice machine which came in very handy. Kudos to the management company for their good customer service.

We were so nervous that our trip fall apart due to Hurricane Ida, but the owners were so good at communicating the actual situation on site. We had 4 guests in their 80s, and 4 others from 20s to 60s. There was plenty of room for everyone! We felt so comfortable in this house and once the rains stopped, we fished on the dock and watched glorious sunsets from the back porch. The house was super clean and plenty of cooking utensils/supplies. Beds and furniture was were comfy. We only went to the beach twice because the surf was too rough (Ida), but it was lovely and seemed private. Overall wonderful trip!!

Great spot to enjoy the lagoon and the beach and all that Gulf Shores has to offer! Geoff and Susan were quick to respond to the few minor issues that came up. The grandkids had a great time fishing from the pier, and checked the crab trap first thing each morning. We would recommend Southern Breeze for a great family vacation!

This property is ideal for families who love the best of both worlds! The beach is easily accessible and not a long walk and the bay is at your back door! We have jet skis and had a great time traveling from the bay to the ocean! We had a wonderful week spending time with our children fishing, riding jet skis, and playing on the sandbar in the ocean. Our kids are 17, 15, 4, & 1. There was plenty to do for everyone. We would definitely recommend this property.

"Southern Breeze" was a well-maintained house which made for a comfortable and relaxing trip for us. We loved kayaking and paddle boarding out the back door (we had them delivered from 'go go kayak'). The guys enjoyed fishing off the pier, which was also directly out the back door. The outdoor spaces of the house made the house feel even larger, allowing us to eat meals on the deck or get away to read a book on another deck.

We had two families with small children (7 people total), so the layout of the house was perfect for us -- with two bedrooms downstairs and extra bedrooms plus a separate family room upstairs.

We did not have any trouble with the house during our stay, so did not need to contact the management company during our stay, but Susan was great to work with during the booking process. Always quickly answered our questions.

Location was good -- only 3 miles west of the T, giving us easy access to the grocery stores and restaurants and activities of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach.

We loved having the bay out the back door -- not just for the view but for the activities it provided (kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing). The beach was a short walk, just across the road, from the front door. The beach highway is only two lanes in front of the house, so crossing the road was not too difficult. We made friends with a house on the beach-side, allowing us very quick and easy access to the beach on the other side of the road. However, walking down to the pass was not all that much further. The use of the owners' beach cart, chairs, and sand toys was much appreciated. We also enjoyed paddling over to the beach on the little lagoon pass.

Overall, it was a great vacation. Thanks for sharing your house for us. Given its location and its layout, this would definitely be a house that we would consider renting again.

We came to the Gulf Shores for the first time to get married at the local state park. We had both sides of the family under 1 roof for the entire week, and Southern Breeze was more then perfect for all of us! The deck was the main hang out for us, and the kids loved catching hermit crabs, while the guys loved the fishing & crabbing. If I can get everyone to come down again, we will DEFINIETLY be staying at the southern breeze!

We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with 14 other family members for a week at Southern Breeze. It was a little cozy for 16, but it is a lovely home with nice amenities. We brought along a pontoon boat & especially enjoyed having the pier so near by. Food for thought: It would have been even better if there was electricity/lights on the pier.

This was the first time I had ever visited Alabama, so I wasn't sure what to expect. We were all pleasantly surprised. The house was perfect!!! The beach was a very short walk away, and it was beautiful. We enjoyed the pier at the house. The fishing at the pier wasn't great while we were there, but we did manage to catch a few. The weather couldn't have been better! I know that is just luck of the draw, but we loved the 75-80 degree days, perfect weather for sitting on the beach! I highly recommend Hummingbird Zip Line. What a blast that was!!! The house was located in a nice, quiet neighborhood. We were close to town, but far enough away to avoid the crowds from the condos. The beach was very nice and quiet. We always had a place to ourselves, no matter when we went. I highly recommend this rental! By far, this was the best vacation I have been on to date!

It was the best of all worlds the beach just across the street for ocean fun and the pier right there for fishing and crabbing fun . The house had plenty of space and made it very enjoyable.

Rental experience was great! A little issue with air that was not a huge problem but was taken care of immediately! Couldn't have asked for a more convenient easy rental! Would definitely recommend this especially for a very relaxing vacation!

This house was perfect for two families with young children (2-8). Enough space for all, backdoor access to the lagoon for wading and fishing, and a quick walk out the front door to a beach that is not busy. Home is clean and maintained and we were met by the pleasant owner/manager once we arrived to see if we had questions or concerns. We will strongly consider staying again!

Very nice and relaxing. Loved the house and location. Location was convenient to most anywhere we needed to go around town. Having the pier was definitely a great option. Enjoyed time there throughout our stay.

Our stay at Southern Breeze was just what we hoped for and needed. The home was lovely and the balcony was b the favorite place for everyone. Mornings and evenings were times to kick back and take in the tranquility of the surroundings. I would recommend this home for anyone's vacation destination.

We had a great time at this property and the whole area was awesome. Generally we go to Destin, but we found this area to be just as nice and more budget friendly. There are also more places to eat and it was much easier to get around even with the music festival in town.

Great time with the entire family.Best of the best! We rented paddle boards and kayaks and fished and crabbed in the lagoon, swam at the beach, and grilled our suppers on the deck.Enjoyed God's creation and relaxed in a carefree beautiful home all week.Thanks Geoff and Susan for offering such a wonderful vacation spot!

Southern Breeze is a lovely cottage and our extended family of nine had a wonderful vacation.

The cottage was spotlessly clean and all supplies that were said to be included were available. We chose this cottage because it was one of the few we could find that had a master bedroom on the main floor where the kitchen and living area was. This made it easier for two of us who were disabled to enjoy the cottage. The hand railings on the front porch were a good safety feature.

We had trouble with a ceiling fan cord and the manager came by the same day to fix it. Our only complaint would be that he did not ring the doorbell and came on in. My daughter was dashing from a bedroom to a bathroom with just a towel and just did make it. Either a doorbell or a call letting us know maintenance was on the way would have been appreciated.

While we are not planning another Gulf Shores vacation, if we were, this is the cottage we would want. Our son-in-law loved having the pier and fished all night every night. He tossed all his fish back but really enjoyed himself.

There are a lot of nice restaurants not too far away and we went to Foley several times. We enjoyed the outlet mall but the highlight was going to Lambert's. I don't think the grandkids will ever forget getting to catch "throwed rolls".

Everything was great except for one of the bedrooms did not have clean linens on the bed it had a smell and hair on the pillow cases, so we had to end up washing them before anyone could sleep in that bedroom.

Seven women celebrating our 70th milestone birthday (we've done this every 5 years since 50)...great house; we knew we didn't want a condo where you have to go up and down an elevator to reach the beach. We took walks even though the weather wasn't the greatest ... rained 4 days out of 7. The house was perfect. Only drawback was the smallest bedroom (probably meant for children) was not very nice for our 7th woman...needed new mattress and too small closet. That is probably the one and only criticism. You immediately responded when I couldn't find WiFi access code. I assume you changed lockset on bathroom between guests. A couple of us got "locked" in that bathroom. Haha. I have recommended it to friends and would stay again. No higher compliment!

Our stay at Southern Breeze was absolutely wonderful. The house was everything it was advertized to be,plus more, very clean and very well stocked. The location couldn't be better. Beautiful sunsets over the bay from the back deck and a short walk to the beach!The pier off the back yard was great for all of us! Perfect vacation for our whole Family of 14, plenty of room for all of us.The location of the house was perfect, close enough to everything, but yet, away from all the traffic in town. Thank You Susan and Geoff for making our first Full Family Vacation, A TRIP TO REMEMBER!

We have stayed in gulf shores, and surrounding beaches for years, but this place is now my favorite! Perfect location, great amount of room and just overall beautiful. We will make Southern Breeze our first choice every time! Susan through Gulf Shore Vacation rentals was so helpful and kept us up to date on traffic delays and house info. Overall we had a great time at the house. Plenty of room for our whole family. When we first arrived the upstairs air did not work. Luckly we have some very handy men in our family who were able to get it reset. The rental company sent someone out the next day, Sunday, to fix it. After that we had no other issues. The kids loved fishing off the dock and playing with the beach toys provided. Four generations had a great time!

Our vacation was a family affair in which family siblings that do not live close were able to come together with their children and renew family ties and cousins got to play together creating lasting memories. We were able to refresh our roots. The accommodations were sufficient and comfortable for all 16 of the family. The children made use of the backyard peer and the beach across the street. We did have a few issues to arise but the management team was able to fix things in a timely manner.
Only recommendations I would make for future rental success are that you trade the rocks in the back with a beachy sand and that you create a more convenient access path to the beach. Children cut their feet on the rocks 2 times and for the young and elderly beach access was not so easy.
If you want to improve the house you should fix the broken tiles and fix the refrigerator door that pops every time you open or close it.

Everyone had an awesome vacation. It was nice we had the lagoon on one side for our fishermen and the beach on the other side for our tanners and swimmers. Bill's was a nice restaurant right down the road. Attractions and shopping was near by. Kids had good time at the zoo. Told them about a couple problems one night and they were there to fix next morning.
