This was our second time to stay at Milty's! The house is great! Perfect for our family of 15! It's so nice to have 2 of everything in the kitchen! All the beds are very comfortable! Nice to have fence around the pool too! Just a few steps to the beach. We very much enjoyed our stay. The only negative is that it might be time to replace couch and the rug in the den. Both are pretty worn and just didn't feel clean.

This was our second time to stay at Milty’s Martini and it was wonderful. We had my 89 year old Dad and a lot of his grandchildren and a great grandchild as well. It is such a peaceful, relaxing home! We even had a birth announcement, so great grand number 8 is due next year! Looking forward to another fun filled week at Milty’s Martini!

Property has great location and the size easily accommodated our group of 11. We did encounter several maintenance issues. Rocker on front porch broken, many nails in lower deck sticking up so couldn’t go barefoot, faucet in upstairs tub dripping and pool light not working. With a little maintenance this house could be awesome.

There were a few hiccups. The entry code did not work but a phone call solved this quickly. The trash had not been picked up so barrels were full on arrival.
Rain came in a bedroom window substantially. This was not resolved during our stay. That same bedroom has no blinds or curtains which makes for a disturbed night during thunderstorms- no way to avoid bright light.
Surprisingly, Milty's Martini has no martini glasses-lots of wine glasses though!
We found most of what we needed in the kitchen.
The GSV office staff are very nice and helpful.

Our family of 11 had a great time at this fantastic home. Kitchen was huge and we loved separate bar area with ice machine. Grandkids loved the pool and the size was larger than other homes we have rented. Lots of pool & beach supplies help when you fly in from out of town.

Two improvements would make this house perfect. The sofa on the main floor has definitely seen better days. Not very comfortable. Also shower heads need to be cleaned to provide better water pressure.

All things considered a great home for large groups!

Awesome house steps from the beach. Loved having two of all appliances/sinks in kitchen. 3 washers and dryers kept everyone in clean clothes and towels. Had the pool heater the last two days of our stay. Kids loved that! Tracy was very responsive. Locations is great. Just minutes from downtown Gulf Shores but still had plenty of privacy. We had a wonderful stay. The house was all we expected and more. The set up was great for an extended family of 12 to be together but also have some privacy. We loved the location--close to the "downtown" busyness to find shops and restaurants, but far enough away that it felt like we had a private beach. The beach was amazing--very clean and quiet. There was more space than the 12 of us could fill. The double of everything kitchen was great and we had plenty of room to cook, store, and eat. There was plenty of seating inside and out. We loved the pool and were glad we upgraded to heat it in April. We loved the ice machine. The multiple washer/dryers made packing light easy--especially since you need to bring beach towels. We loved our stay and would love to stay again if our large group vacations in Gulf Shores again!

We just returned from Miltys Martini. We rent a house each year and this is probably the best we have stayed in. Normally the furnishings are cheaper since it is a rental. We found the beds comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. It even had a Kitchen Aid mixer. There were also beach toys for use that was a nice bonus.

This is a perfect paradise home with just a few hiccups. While the management company worked diligently to help us, their communication could have been more smooth. When guests are limited on their time and their resources are spent on a house such as this, they do want answers in a timely fashion. With, or without answers from the home owner. Seems there should have been some protocol worked out prior to guests being thrown into the middle of an electricity shutdown without a back-up plan by either parties. Without electricity for a little over a day and no word on when that was to be turned on (or a guarantee) it was nerve-wracking. Overall, the house is beautiful and location is amazing. Furnishings lovely. The charges for cleaning etc a little steep for all of the things to be done upon leaving. Most are common sense. Management bringing the flashlights, generator, blankets and lanterns were helpful but with some needing medical attention, we're thankful that the few having to sleep on the couch was possible. Leaving the front door open all night was a little bothersome. Your maintenance and cleaning staff are amazing! Truthfully, my biggest complaint is not knowing more about what was happening in a more timely fashion one way or another when I was calling/texting. We had guests from 2-80 years old with us. The property description was very accurate. I was happy to see the coffee pot and blow dryers were available. All of the attractions and restaurants close by were fun and very good/friendly.

There were a few problems but understandable since it had only been renting for a few months after a major renovation. For example, one of the 2 dishwashers leaked and a bedroom window leaked when when it rained, there was no heat in the 2nd floor bedroom and there were no door stops to prevent the doors to from hitting the walls. We had 15 family members to celebrate our 80th wedding anniversary.
We loved the house and would definitely rent it again. Management was very considerate and responded quickly to our needs. Great house and location.

We had a fantastic beach week at Milty’s Martini and can’t wait to return! The location is amazing- it is so close to the ocean and feels more private than most houses on the street. It had everything we needed and more- the design and decor is beautiful, amazing views from the deck and balconies, there are 4 fridges (3 full size and 1 mini) and 3 washer/dryers which is a huge bonus, the beds were very comfortable, and the kids loved the pool. We cooked most meals in the kitchen and loved the double sinks/dishwashers/stoves/coffee makers. Thanks for a great vacation, we will definitely be back!

This was our 3rd time to rent Milty's for our group of 11! Each couple has their own private bedroom & bath! The kitchen is spacious & perfect for a large group! Checking in & out is very simple! We only had 2 complaints this stay! The first was the AC was not working properly on the 2nd floor & 2 rooms were not cooling! Maintenance did respond very quickly & a repair was made; however, this lasted 2 days & it stopped cooling again! The 2nd problem was that the water supply shut off before everyone could get showers at night! It stayed off most of the night & came back on the next morning but not before showers & laundry needed to resume! This was a big inconvenience! Our stay took place on the remnants of hurricane Ida so at first we thought the water issue was related to this but not so sure! We never had any problems whatsoever during our last 2 stays here & we absolutely LOVE Milty's location & privacy! With these issues resolved, I highly recommend Milty's for other travelers!

This is the second time we have stayed at this house. We loved it in 2015 when it was Life O’Reilly and love it even more now. The updates are beautiful and everything was spotless! Our family of 16 had plenty of room to spread out and our grandchildren loved having the 3rd floor to theirselves. We enjoyed hanging out on the deck, beach and pool. I loved that the pool had a rail to use to enter and exit pool. This is the only house we have stayed at that has one. Makes it so much easier for my 65 year old knees! The only negative (for me) was no rail going down the six stairs at the end of the boardwalk. When we stayed here in 2015 the boardwalk went directly onto the beach and no stairs were needed. It’s sad to see how much of the beach has eroded in 6 years. Than you GSVR for another wonderful vacation! See you next year!

What a great time we had ! This house was perfect for accommodating our large family. We had as old as 78 and young as 6. Love the fact most rooms had their own beachfront balcony. My Mother enjoyed sitting outside on the porch with the amazing Gulf View , reading her book but able to see all of us on the beach. Hands down the kitchen is the best part of this house . We have stayed at Life OReilly now Miltys martini in 2014 2016 and now 2018 with our family and this year our 1.5 year old great grandson was experiencing his first ocean . We love the new renovations we had a couple raining days but still had a blast. Hoping we can continue the Xmas tradition in 2020 we have the most wonderful memories here. My husband and I also have also rented the Lighthouse in September 2018. Love working with Susan and Geoff

Labor Day was the third year we have stayed in this house. We use every bedroom yet the main floor has ample room for all. The recent renovation has allowed one large room for kitchen, dining and tv. Maintenance is prompt in returning phone calls. What more can you ask for?

Hate to say it, but we could ask for all 5s! The house has always been good, but opening up the main floor with a big expansion to the condition, a bigger laundry, a second laundry, a 7th private bath and new surfaces top to bottom. We agree with your statement--what more could you ask for!

Miltys Martini was a gorgeous home directly on the beach. We had 16 ladies for a Mom Getaway, and we had plenty of space. This house was built with housing many adults in mind.

The house, porch, refrigerators and pool were immaculate - it felt like we were the first guests to ever stay here. Did I mention refrigerators?! There were two fridges in the kitchen and one fridge on the first floor that we used for beverages.

We've stayed at this property a number of times before under its previous name (Life O' Reilly)and it remains a spacious, well appointed property with great beach access and views, a nice pool in a good location, and an address close to the area's activities. The latest remodel is a mixed bag... The design changes look fresh, and the addition of a second fridge is great. For large groups, the added washers and dryers are probably a good thing, but our smaller group lamented the resulting loss of bathroom space in the second floor master bedroom and the general absence of garden/whirlpool tubs. And the laundry areas are now extremely loud. The external flapper on the revised kitchen vent hood (which seemed to be out of order) is poorly damped and a constant source of loud banging as it is buffeted by the wind... although that didn't interfere with sleeping or enjoyment of the house. We also had a couple of minor issues with ants in the kitchen and an air conditioner that was non-functional, but these were addressed quickly upon notification to the management company. In fact, Geoff and Susan at GSVR are the best reason to rent this or any one of their other properties. Always easy to contact, attentive and very helpful.

Geoff and Susan along with Brianna in the office were delightful to work with from the time we first inquired and throughout our stay. They responded promptly
to our few requests.
The newly renovated property was perfect for our family of 16.
The family room which expanded to a lovely dining space and gourmet kitchen was a dream. The kitchen worked well for all our family chefs as well as Cassie Powers, professional chef from Mobile who cooked for us 3 nights.
The expansive deck was the perfect spot for appetizers before dinner.
The deck splash pool was a welcome feature for 8 children who needed a respite from beach time and was also perfect for water aerobics!
Milty’s Martini is beautifully appointed and was a lovely home for our family vacation.

As always, we had a terrific week at beautiful Gulf Shores Alabama.

We were absolutely thrilled with the complete indoor modifications the new owners have made, and we know all of any new visitors will agree, it is probably the best new interior design on the beach!


The Rental Management as always was very pleasant and very professional. We hope to come back every other year for the foreseeable future! Please keep us on the waiting list.

A beautifully renovated and comfortable family home. We have been vacationing together in Gulf Shores for 10 years, and Milty’s Martini has been our favorite home thus far. There are many thoughtful and upgraded amenities to accommodate our family of sixteen, with kids aged 15-2yrs, such as: gated pool, dune walkover w/shower, comfortable shaded decks and deck furniture, large interior and exterior dining tables, double appliances, extra lounging spaces for the kids and on-suites for each bedroom. The communication with GSVacations was also friendly and quick. A wonderful stay at a home that our family greatly appreciated. We are missing the views already!

From planning, to booking, to arrival, to the stay, and the departure our week at Milty’s Martini was easy and amazing. We have rented along the Gulf Coast for over 10 years and finally found a company worth staying with. Gulf Shores vacation rentals is a company that cares about its properties and renters. The house had every convenience a family needs. The location is perfect. The view is a dream. The huge kitchen and dining table fit our family of 14 with room to spare. Every room has a private bathroom. Any issue that came up during the week was addressed immediately. We could go on and on. The house is so great for big parties! There are two of everything; dishwashers, stovetops, sinks... The location is perfect, right on the beach, steps away from the shore. You have so much space on the back porch to enjoy the view without even hitting the sand. The pool on the beach side is great, so happy it’s gated and safe for the kids.

We were the first guests to stay in the newly renovated Milty's Martini (formerly Life O'Reily) and SO PLEASANTLY SURPIRSED! We loved the pictures of the place we booked - but this renovation took it to a whole new level! Huge open concept kitchen/living room; all 7 Bedrooms had King beds and full bathrooms; the deck was AMAZING and you walked right out onto the beautiful sand. We enjoyed paradise for 7 days with great friends and didn't need for a thing! 18 people comfortably under 1 roof, doesn't get any better than that. To top that off, my daughter left her cherished stuffed lamb at the house and Susan went out of her way to find it and send it back. We were thrilled with the place and can't wait to go back!

Coming to one of GSVR’s homes has become an annual tradition. This is our fourth year at the beautiful Life O'Reilly and while owners have recently changed, the transition is seamless when it comes to Susan and Geoff’s spot-on service and commitment to please. I brought additional family from Texas this year and they are hooked- they loved everything but particularly the expansive beautiful decks and views! The weather was a mix of rain and sun but extremely pleasant either way. Everyone was comfortable. There were several of us still having to do some office work while simultaneously enjoying the accommodations – easily achieved with speedy WI-FI and different areas of the home to retreat. I was even able to maintain my conference call schedule. Life O'Reilly is located past Lee Callaway Bridge on West Beach Blvd which is our preference – no beach congestion. If Life O' doesn’t exactly fit your needs, trust Susan to find your fit! You won’t be disappointed!

We stayed here in 2014 for family Xmas vacation we wanted a family vacation before grandkids went off to college and getting married there were 16 of us age 68-15 fell in love with the house and beach as well as the area. So we planned another family Xmas for 2016. Not all our family could make it but 10 of us did. The weather was absolutely warm and was able to enjoy the beach even more than 2014. My husband had to have open heart surgery end if November but doctor oked trip for recouperation walking on the beach and collectIng shells watching the dolphins and I enjoyed the warm ocean and it was fantastic! Other family enjoyed the zoo and Fort Morgan again and the outlet mall too. Great shops and restaurants . Evenings we took walks along beach and the home providered a fun place to play board games . Life of O'Riley holds special memories for all of us and hope to visit it again! Excellent choice and great owners and manager to work with and very accommodating!! It was truly the most amazing family vacation we have ever had. We take all our children and grandchildren on a beach vacation yearly. This one by far was the best. The home is very comfortable for 16 people. The beds were all very comfortable. Kitchen was completely stocked and lounging area was very inviting and comfortable. The pool was perfect for those times we did not want to load up all the grandchildren and head to the beach. But it was so nice to be able to simply take a few steps out of the back door and be on the beach. The weather was perfect. We have already booked this home for 2017. Gulf Shores Vacation Rentals checked on us frequently and made the whole planning of this vacation and actual vacation so easy. Amazing is the best word to describe this home and Gulf Shores Vacation Rentals!

The property and accommodations were exactly as advertised. We could not have asked for a better place to spend our 50th Wedding anniversary with our kids and grandkids. All was very good. The only issue was the previous occupant had not left the key, so we had to wait for someone to bring us keys.

Manager's Response

We apologize for missing that the last guests had not returned the key to the box. We have a back-up key on site in case a guest locks themselves out and were able to get them into the house within a few minutes of their call. So they were able to use our key to get in, and we took a replacement key down to them within a couple of hours. Since they had our key if needed, and a lock box for us to leave the new key, we did not need them to wait to meet us. We are nearly always able to arrange maintenance things so that you can continue enjoying your vacation while we take care of things. We hope you'll let us do that.

My family of 9 adults and 6 kids (5 years old and younger) stayed here for a week. The house is beautiful and the beach is right at your backdoor. I really have no complaints. This was our first vacation with our whole family . It was a long drive from Jacksonviille, Illinois but totally worth it. Best day was Xmas day warm sunny day and we flew kites and got in the ocean. Different parties of the group visited the Zoo, outlet mall, arcade laser tag and souvenir shopping. A few of us never left the beach house and enjoyed walks along the beach, reading on the deck , searching for shells, and watching sunrises and sunsets. The beach house provided plenty of room for our gang 16 of us. 6 married adults five college kids five high school kids. Everyone said they had a great time . Would have liked warmer weather and no rain but that didn't stop us having fun . Son in law and grandson caught flsh in front of beach house they also went on an ocean fishing trip. One group also visited Fort Morgan. Best activity was just enjoying the beach. We went to Lamberts on night for supper - good food and fun! Our family vacation was a wonderful experience and would love to visit again !! We took lots of pictures. Over believe it or not 5000??. Great memories

This is a wonderful house and had plenty of room for our 8 adults and 4 kids under the age of 3. The location was perfect. The beach and pool were where we spent most of our time. We grilled out 3 of the nights we were there and ordered in food a couple of other nights. The beach is so close it made it great to be able to play there with the kids and be able to be seen by the people sitting on the decks at the house. What a beautiful place. We will have fond memories of this vacation for the rest of our lives.

We have a large extended family and we usually go as a group on a summer vacation every few years. We have stayed at many homes over the years and this one by ranks at the top of our list. Home is very clean and well maintained, centrally located to shopping and attractions but still has quiet beach front. We had ages 1 to 89 years old in our group and the home was loved by all. Milty's Martini is a newly renovated, beautiful beachfront vacation home, formerly known as Life O'Reilly. You'll be thrilled with the 15'x20' private pool that can be heated October-May for $60 per day, newly expanded kitchen, the second laundry room and the addition of a 7th full bath so that every bedroom has a private bath. This is a gorgeous Gulf front luxury family beach house, directly on the beach, with lots of luxury touches. It is a perfect home for a large family gathering or reunion, or a retreat with friends. Large living areas provide plenty of room for relaxing together but you'll also enjoy spacious bedrooms and gathering areas on each floor. There are a total of 7 spacious bedrooms, each with a private bath and an HDTV, spread over 3 floors.

First floor has Large Open Living Room with a Huge Graciously Appointed Kitchen, Dining Area, Breakfast Bar with stools & more. Milty's Martini has all of the comforts you'll want. The 1st Floor King Master opens to the Gulf-front Porch and has an Expansive Bath with a shower that includes body sprays and a rainhead. On the main floor you'll also have a laundry room and half bath.

The 2nd Floor has a Family Room and a total of 4 King Bedrooms, each with a Private Bath. There are 3 Beachfront King Bedrooms opening to the Big Beachfront Porch, and a Lagoon-view King Bedroom. Each has a private bath. A second, large laundry room with 2 washing machines and 2 dryers completes this level.

The 3rd Floor has its own gathering space plus 2 Spacious Bedrooms, each with a King plus a Twin Bed. Each bedroom has a private bath and an HDTV.

Milty's offers 4 levels of beachfront decks with outdoor seating, dining, lounge chairs and the private heated pool. On the Ground Floor you'll find a Large Covered Area. There is a Wooden Beach Walkover through your Backyard Dunes & Sea Oats for Easy Beach Access. You'll even find an Extra Refrigerator in the ground level foyer so you can keep beverages cold just steps from the beach!
