Our return trip to Morning Tide was as expected, fantastic. Such a great location and incredible place to stay. Our group of 26 fit nicely and the amenities are great. We really enjoyed the locker of water toys and pool was perfect. Kitchen is stocked with every imaginable need and love the bathroom box. Special Thanks to David for the bags of ice & checking on us that first day. Amelia EarHawts are a dance krewe from New Orleans participating in Mardi Gras parades and this was our annual planning retreat for next year mixed with a LOT of fun. Pod of dolphins close to shore was a great memory. Thank you for adding to a very successful retreat.

We've been going to gulf shores, labor day weekend, using GSVR beach houses with 8 couples for last ten years. These homes are spacious, well maintained and everyone has a beach front bedroom, with private baths. The staff is receptive and responsive to any issue we may encounter. Morning Tide is a great house for 16 couples that love to cook and have our meals at home! Keep up the good work GSVR!

We had an absolute wonderful time. The house ended up being perfect and loved everything. We did have some issues here and there. The Wi-Fi at the house was not very strong on the first floor, but thankfully, we had a workaround and a hotspot so that was very nice the deck at the house Might need some drainage work as all the water collects right against the house all in all it was another wonderful trip and we hope to be back.

Everything about this place is perfect for my 24 family members. The beds are great, the kitchen has all that is needed for cooking for a big group. I don’t have any complaints , but one wish. It’s really hard to grill for a big group on a charcoal cooker. It would be great if their could be a black stone grill to cook on .. that would make everything perfect :)

Excellent week at Morning Tide except for jellyfish and stingrays!! House is beautiful with excellent views to the gulf and the lagoon. Loved the two huge tables for dining, games, and puzzles. One disappointment was the twin mattresses in the cubbies were not extra long as advertised. Grand boys are all 6 feet tall. Thank you for prompt attention to the shower leak. Ice maker in the right fridge needs help!Ice goes everywhere when you open freezer.

Great property in a great location. Clean and fully equipped as promised. We did have two significant issues. Luckily they were addressed quickly, but did cause issues that we paid for and were delayed. 1. Paid for pool heat, and when we got there it was not on. Kinda wanted to swim, but water was cold. Paid $60/day for heat, so maybe a one day refund is coming my way. 2. Elevator was not working when we arrived. Sure would have come in handy when we were moving our thing in. 3 days later a repair person showed up. Fixed it in less than 5 minutes. I will await to hear what they feel that is worth. All else was perfect, but when your paying tens of thousands of dollars for a week, everything they advertised should be perfect. Overall, I would recommend Gulf Shores Vacations.

Manager's Response

We appreciate your patience. While we do our best to have everything in perfect condition, issues do come up and we try to resolve them as quickly as possible. As soon as the pool guys identified the heater issue, they ordered the part to repair. The elevator issue required a visit from the elevator repair company and we are at the mercy of their schedule. Usually we are able to re-set the elevators but sometimes they do require special service.

This was our 2nd year to rent Morning Tide in November. We LOVE LOVE LOVE this house and LOVE working with GSVR! The house is perfect for 8 couples, so much room to spread out or all be together in one area! Lots of bedroom options but wonderful that all face the beach. Any questions/concerns we had while there were taken care of promptly by GSVR. For example, we were technically challenged with the TV's , their tech guy came by immediately and got us all on the right track. Beautiful house, beautiful location!

Love, love, love Morning Tide. Fantastic rental & so BIG. We are a Mardi Gras dance team from New Orleans & came for our retreat to plan for next year. Weather was not cooperating so we did our planning inside & so appreciate the open space. Wilson was & is the BEST. Ice Maker is genius. We want to return for next year & stay a bit longer. Our family vacationed in Gulf Shores AL this summer. We stayed at a beautiful spacious house on the western part of the island. It was named Morning Tide. We have had many other vacations over the years. This may have been the best. We had 22 family members with us and loved every minute. The house was perfect for our group and we loved the location.
I’m sure we will return!

This is the third time with our group of friends in the house. Fills all our needs with a heated pool, beach access walkway, elevator, bathrooms in each room, and lots of space for fun and games. Being farther out on West Beach it is quiet with no traffic and limited people on the beach. We are already set-up for next year.

It was a great time with all of our family. All were pleased with the house and amenities. The weather cooperated and every day was a great day outdoors. However, a screw came loose on the pool door and made it hard to close. We reported it and someone was going to check it out when they brought a new stove. But no one came with a stove or looked at the door. Then the piece came off the door. On our last night, we were unable to lock the door. One place where we stayed in the past had someone drop by every day or so to see if anything was needed. That was very helpful. But overall, a wonderful time!

We all "loved" the Morning Tide experience! The big house fit our family well. All the bedrooms were used and we made good use of the kitchen and dining room. We only went out to eat once. Thanks for providing grills. There was plenty of space for playing games, reading on the little patios, visiting, etc. Having plenty of bathrooms was also a plus. We enjoyed being right on the beach. The heated pool was used quite a bit due to the cool weather, so that was a nice option to have. Our family, including our grandkids, said this was the highlight of the year, and would like to come back sometime!

We rented this house for multiple families (22 people), it was nice and spacious, gorgeous views of the beach and bay. Every room had a balcony to enjoy the sunrises and sunsets. Any issues we had maintenance was there within the hour we reported and they fixed the issue. I love how this was not in the mainstream of the tourist area, we really had our own private beach. Kids enjoyed the games and pool. We really hope to be back in a few years.

This was a great house. All rooms have their own bathrooms. Lots of beds and room for everyone to spread out. Two fridges, dishwashers, stoves and sinks make for cooking food a breeze. The pool is perfect for family activities and the beach is super close. The kitchen was well equipped for large group cooking as well. The house is towards the end of a dead end road so there isn’t as much traffic which was fabulous!
There could have been a few more towels in each bathroom since the house accommodates so many guests.

Morning Tide provided the very best experience for my entire family (Children and Grand Children). A Beautiful home on the beach with all the amenities one could ask for. Response from management when an A/C unit went down was immediate and repaired within 12 hours. The home was ready to occupy when promised and the overall experience rates the highest marks available. The house was spectacular, very clean and just beautiful with views of the ocean out all the front windows. The beach access was incredible without all the crowds you get at a public beach. We ended up having to heat the pool due to cooler temps, but once I called, someone was out to turn it on right away, and it got warm very fast. We will definitely be back!

We were a group of 13 adults. The room arrangement and space were wonderful. This home is beautifully decorated and in a quiet location away from all the condos and crowds. Our only complaint was a lack of maintenance in some areas like towel bars and toilet paper holders falling off. One bedroom had no closet rods or shelves. Also a couple of broken panes in two glass doors. These are simple maintenance items that should be addressed by the management company. It would be heartbreaking for this gorgeous home not to be impeccably maintained.

This year we asked our 5 children and all our grandchildren if they'd rather have a vacation than gifts under the tree. We had a unanimous YES. All 20 of us arrived and were in total awe of the place. It is very clean and the space is amazing. The beds are very comfortable, bathrooms everywhere, lots of washing machines, I just can't get in words how incredible this space is for a large family. We never felt crowded. We had 3 babies with us and the walls and ceilings are great, no one heard anything from other rooms. The hot water keeps up too. The heated pool was in use full time (January vacation must), the temps were perfect mid 60's and one day 70. Fishing, laying on the beach, playing in the water and sand. We weren't sure what this time of year would be and it was wonderful. The kids could just run in and out without packing everyone up. The street is a quiet dead end with a bike trail. You feel like you are very private yet only minutes from everything. Communication was perfect, all questions answered in a timely manner. We even asked if a grill was available and one was dropped off the next day. They were very friendly, professional, and always knowing what you needed to know. Everything in the house was modern and in working order. Loved the water views from every window. And LOVED balconies facing the ocean in EVERY bedroom, great design. You can't get a bad bedroom or even a lesser one. All great. Lots of parking. The elevator came in handy loading and unloading and even as a commute to the bottom by the end of the week. You'll notice Gulf Shores seems to have great houses if you observe their signs in front of sure to use them, you won't be sorry. This vacation has me wanting to consider a retirement in the area. We found bike trails on the other side of the lagoon. Great places to eat the Oyster House! Hangout!The diner, a dessert must! Sushi (I'll find the name),Lamberts! Thank you for the best Christmas gift!

Booked morning tide for a getaway as the kids are remote learning and thought a change of scenery would be good. Layout of the house is fantastic, there were ten of us and everyone had their own space. We were arriving late on check in day and GS rentals was kind enough to have some lights on so we were not pulling into a dark home. There were a few problems however:

1. WiFi is inadequate for the size of the house. Many of the TVs in the bedrooms are not able to connect to WiFi network due to weak signal. Also with only one router it made remote learning a challenge as someone was always having a slow speed or unable to connect to WiFi. Someone from gulf shores came out to check on it but left without any type of update and no one checked in to see if it was any better (it was not).
2. House was stated as having a grill and one was not there. Contacted the office and they did not deliver a grill until two days later.

Overall, we really enjoyed this rental and our Gulf Shores experience. The house was beautiful, and gave our family of 17 plenty of room to relax and have privacy, but still be together. The proximity to the beach and ocean were amazing, and there was a plethora of beach chairs and toys for everyone to use. As far as the general condition of the property, there were a few minor issues that I believe should have been addressed by the cleaning crew. One of the freezer drawers was jammed and could not be opened. There was actually still food in the bottom of the freezer from the previous tenant. Either the cleaning crew did not take the time to fix this issue, or they didn't even open it to look. The next issue is that there was mold around the tub in at least one of the master baths. This is not a big issue, and is something that is probably pretty common in this area of the country, however, it is an issue that could have easily been addressed by the cleaning crew. The final is not really an issue, but more of a suggestion. I think having a Roomba or some type of robot vacuum for the second level where people are coming in and out from the beach would be helpful. We tried to be diligent about having the children rinse off their feet, but sand on the floor was unavoidable. Having an automatic vacuum might help with this matter. Like I said, this is just a suggestion for a house of this caliber. While there were a few very minor issues, this house was amazing and our family would be thrilled to vacation here again. If you are considering this house, let me be the first to tell you that you will not be disappointed!

Morning Tide was a beautiful home. I have to say in the 19 years that we have been renting vacation homes, the kitchen in this home was probably the best "stocked" kitchen we've had. There was plenty of seating in the dining area and the living room for our large family. Our favorite restaurants to eat at while in Gulf Shores are Lamberts and Lulu's. You can't go wrong with either one of them. Sadly our vacation was cut short due to mandatory hurricane evacuation so we didn't get the full experience of a complete week in the house. Anytime we had to contact Gulf Shores Vacation Rentals, Inc. they were very prompt in returning our texts/phone calls. We have rented vacation homes from them 3 times and would do so again.

The set up of this house is great for large groups. Every room has an ocean view. Decor is very nice and plenty of kitchen essentials. We loved the fire pit, hammocks and pool. The boardwalk was very nice for older family members that have trouble with long walks in the sand.

Our Corona Virus Experience

We had some confusion in getting access to Morning Tide. We received GSVR email of Monday, March 30 that because we were driving overnight we possibly could gain access by 8 am on Thursday, April 2, because the house would be cleaned by then. Also the lights would be left on, if we arrived earlier than 8 am, so our access would be lighted.

Corona Virus experience - our packing with taking all of food (even cold food) because we wanted to limit our exposure in Gulf Shores, went really well. So we left much earlier than planned. And the traffic was really a lot less than usual because of the “staying home” and essential services governors’ executive orders.

Our arrival was much earlier than planned. But we couldn’t gain access – the code instructions didn’t really work. Our assumption was the access instruction was for another house’s locking system or the locking system was replaced recently.

We really appreciated GSVR understanding of our early arrival during these unusual times and apologized for the inconvenience of contacting GSVR after hours. GSVR was very accommodating of our early arrival and gave us a different code to obtain access to Morning Tide.

Because of our early arrival the house wasn't completely cleaned - but that wasn't a big deal for us.

GSVR always is very responsive to our needs and provides great customer service!

The weather was perfect for the children to enjoy the HEATED pool. Ample amounts of space, elevator, kids gaming areas and breathtaking views are the most memorable parts to our stay. The house, location and service were beyond our expectations! The photos for this home were so beautiful but it was even better in person. There is so much to love, but what you can't see in pictures is how well the house worked for our group. Our extended family group included a newborn, young kids, teens to grandparents. The house was so well designed that we could retreat to our own space as needed but could come together as a big family for meals and more. Everything was so beautifully decorated, but inviting and comfortable as well. The elevator was frequently used: not only for luggage but for a family member recovering from a foot surgery. Finally anytime we had a question the management company was immediately responsive.

We love this house and have stayed for the last 3 years since it opened. The house is beautiful. The only thing that doesn't work for us is the size of the pool and deck area. For a house this large that holds so much of our family, there just isn't enough space.

The house is wonderful. Lots of room, well kept, well stocked with essential tools and kitchen equipment. A nice pool, but outside covered area could be a little more spacious. Great area for kids to play by the house when you can’t get to the beach. Love the walk over to the beach. The only negative was that we were expected to wash and dry all our towels before we left which was difficult since we try to leave by 6:00 am to miss the traffic. This is the only house we have rented that requires this.

Loved Morning Tide. The common living areas on each floor are spacious. The heated pool was great for the grand kids, especially when we had a cool day or it was sprinkling. The kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary cooking utensils, etc. (more than was ever needed). The elevator was especially nice when initially moving luggage to the 4th floor. Gulf Shores Vacation Rentals had every thing in good order when we arrived. And they are very responsive e.g. when we asked that the night pool lights (which rotate with different colors) be turned off by 9:30 pm - they had the pool maintenance folks come out within the hour. Love the 3 washers/dryers - never had to wait to get items washed and dried. There was lumbered piled up under neath the board walk, and we assumed it was to put steps up to the deck from the lower level, which would be appreciated, as all of our beach chairs/umbrellas had to be carried through the house.

My family and I occupied this beautiful beach home for the week of Thanksgiving. Upon entry, the home was very clean and welcoming. The elevator is a huge plus when loading and unloading luggage etc. The owners did an amazing job with decor and top of the line finishing in the home. Mattresses are very comfortable with ample amount of sleeping for large families. Gourmet kitchen was exceptional with lots of storage. The beach views can be seen from each room. My family and I would Highly recommend this property. We have already booked for next year!!!!

The home came with everything we needed for the kitchen and bathrooms as well as games and puzzles. We greatly enjoyed having our own private beach and boardwalk. This house was also located just a short drive to all the fun activities and restaurants in Gulf Shores. Great house for large family and friends with children. Love the location and beach access, not busy at all. Very enjoyable house, spaces for family time and also solitude.
My one criticism is a lack of blinds or privacy drapes in 2nd floor common area. The built in beds are child sized and children there wake up far too early. This year we tried eye masks but to no avail.

Our family reunions on the beach have never been better since we found Morning Tide. A lovely, immaculate new home with gorgeous details and furnishings. Absolutely beautiful home! Lovely furnishings, thick bath towels, comfortable beds, gourmet kitchen. All 8 bedrooms have oceanfront balconies. Elevator was great - we had no issues with it once we figured out that doors on all 4 floors must be closed for it to work. Some instructions left for the renter would have been helpful. Temperature of outdoor heated pool needed to be a little warmer. My only complaint was the amount of work required of the renter prior to checkout. Emptying trash from 11 bathrooms & a kitchen; washing & drying all towels of 26 people, (required to be out of dryer & folded); cleaning all dishes, placing all deck furniture in original positions, cleaning out frig, etc - all by 10:00
am! With a $659 cleaning fee - this seemed an excessive amount of work. We have owned a beach rental property before & the renter was never required to wash & dry the towels prior to checkout. With the exception of this, we all had a perfectly wonderful stay.

We had 20 people in our group and never felt crowded or confined! The pool was wonderful and the access to the beach was fantastic! We had young children and the beach has a childproof gate. This property is great! We had 11 in our party (3 couples and 5 singles so everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom). The house is well designed with all bedrooms facing the ocean and you have either one king bed or two queens, no bunk rooms, which was perfect for us; there are two sleeping nice cubbies in the 2nd floor common area that we didn't use. Since the house was just built it is immaculate with everything in top working order. All furniture is clean and very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and we were pleasantly surprised to find a keurig coffee maker along with two drip coffee makers. If there is anything to improve upon ... the kitchen doesn't have a pantry but it still works fine without and having the outdoor shower for rinsing under the patio cover brings a lot of sand to the main outdoor seating area, lastly the grill is charcoal and could have better grates. Management is extremely responsive and accommodating.

We enjoyed this beautiful house and all the amenities. The layout is great. You can take a large group and be all together in the living area and dining area while still finding your own nook for quiet times. The only complaint is to be cautious coming down the stairs into the living area. It is easy to miss that last step. Other than that this house is perfect.

The main floor features a living and dining area with Gulf views and abundant space to gather for entertainment and eating meals together. The dining space, in particular, boasts 2 full dining tables seating 20+ alongside extra bar seating. A large kitchen rounds out the space with 2 full refrigerators, 2 ovens, 2 dishwashers, an undercounter icemaker, a coffee bar with drip and Keurig coffee makers and a microwave, and all the other essentials needed to prepare and serve meals for large groups. The floor also has a beachfront King bedroom with a private bath and a private porch. The floor is complete with a laundry and a poolside bathroom for your comfort and convenience.

The middle level opens with a family room for more intimate gatherings. A couple built-in Twin bunks, with curtains that offer privacy, adjoin the family room and offer another sleeping option. The floor also has 4 beachfront bedrooms. 2 of these bedrooms, a King bedroom and another with a pair of Queens, offer private baths and private porch access. The other 2 bedrooms with pairs of Queen beds also have private baths and access to the beachfront shared porch.
A large laundry room and an additional full bath add everyday usability to your stay.

The top floor centers on a game room for more gathering and entertainment options. A wet bar with an undercounter beverage fridge and a half bath enhance the possibilities yet further. 3 more beachfront bedrooms wrap up the accommodations for the house. One of these bedrooms has a pair of Queen beds and the 2 others have Kings. All of these are enhanced by private baths and access to a shared porch.

Outside, you’ll first find beachfront porches across all levels overlooking the gorgeous Gulf and a sizable pool deck just off the main floor living room. The deck hosts a private heatable pool alongside space for relaxation and outdoor dining. Underneath on the ground floor, a big charcoal grill, a picnic table and more shaded living space offer the perfect place for outdoor barbecues, gatherings, and relaxation. Finally, just across the dune walkover with an outdoor shower, lies a broad stretch of private, white sand beach making long days of sea, sun, and sand just a step away.
