Come enjoy your own Southern Surprise in the West Beach area close to the heart of Gulf Shores! Enjoy a private pool and views of the Gulf of Mexico & Little Lagoon at our Gulf Shores vacation rental beach house. Enjoy easy beach access at either end of the block, an elevator for easy house access, and a walking path right across the street. January & February you can rent the halves separately, the rest of the year it rents as a whole.

Great winter home away from home in the West Beach area one street over from Beach Blvd. Great walking neighborhood with Beach House Kitchen & Cocktails and Waves Market just a block and a half away. The center of Gulf Shores is 2.5 miles away. At the end of the block you'll find a fishing pier on Little Lagoon and you are less than half a mile from Lagoon Pass, a great place to watch the heron or fish.

Winter daytime temperatures here generally are in the 50s and 60s (sometimes 70s) with beautiful clear skies so it is beautiful weather to be active outside or play golf at one of the 11 signature courses within 20 miles, Enjoy sitting around the private pool or on one of beach or lagoon side porches. Relax in the lounge chairs and enjoy the views. We also have a grill and outdoor dining tables for your use during your stay.

Southern Surprise has lots of nice luxury touches like a huge master bath on each level, wet bars with under counter icemakers, private baths for each bedroom and more. You'll love the pillow-top mattresses and soft sheets. Wonderful porches provide great views of the Gulf to the south, and Little Lagoon to the north.

This is the Downstairs unit. The house is divided into two three-bedroom/three bath halves, one stacked over the other, with an interior connecting stairway and an elevator. The halves are separate and you can reach each one by stairs or elevator without going into the other half or open the doors to the stairs if you are sharing the entire duplex with friends or family. Shut the doors and each feels like its own house.

Each floor of Southern Surprise has a spacious living area with wide open Gulf views and a large covered porch with a table and chairs to enjoy outdoor dining or relaxing. The beautifully equipped kitchen is open to the living area and features custom cabinets, granite counters and stainless appliances.

The master bedroom has a king-sized bed, adjoining lagoon-view private porch, and master bath with separate Jacuzzi tub, shower and double vanities. The second has a King (plus a pair of built-in twins) a lagoon-view balcony and a private bath. The third bedroom features a queen bed and private bath.

This laid-back section of Gulf Shores known as West Beach has 4 rows of houses from the Gulf on the south to Little Lagoon on the north but is only 2.5 miles west of Hwy 59 with its selection of restaurants, shops and attractions.

Quiet beachview neighborhood near groceries, restaurants, golf, walking trails, recreation center, library and The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo. A major outlet mall is 8 miles north in Foley. Our area has many winter activities including active snowbird clubs from about 12 states.

First thing, we couldn't get in! Problem with keyless entry. Had issues getting mail! Was told to forward it to main office, and it was sent back. Tax time is not a good time to worry about where your mail is! The rental was quite nice overall. All beds were good! Great location to walk our dog at state park. Near all restaurants and shopping! We'll equipped kitchen, but bring your own spices. Furniture in living area was stained and pull out sofa was uneven for sitting. Carpets were dirty and worn, also. We've been to Gulf Shores before and love it! The location here was great for us. Management was quick to handle any problems we had! Dave was a great help! We have booked for next year! My husband has cancer and a weekend immune system and that's why cleanliness is important to us!

We rented two houses... This house and the one next door for a gathering our extended families. We had more than enough space for everyone. We enjoyed the overall experience. Highlights included the pool, short walk to the beach and evening cool breezes.

We had a wonderful time - very pleased with all the accommodations! Very neat and clean, well stocked houses. Even lots of beach toys, chairs, umbrellas and carts...just bring your bathing suits and towels! The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful! Highly recommend their homes!!!

My husband and I and our four daughters, along with their spouses and children stayed at Southern Surprise for a week for our first big family vacation. We all had our own rooms and our own bathrooms, which was amazing! The pool was wonderful, the kitchens were stocked with enough plates and pots and pans, and the walk to the beach was very short. We had a wonderful time!!
